Nano-Technology in Drug Discovery  & Development                                                            The Technology which uses creation and utilization of materials, devices and systems through the control of matter on the nanometer scale is called Nano-technology. Impact on diagnostics and drug delivery is created by the application of nanotechnology in life sciences, nanobiotechnology. Now, researchers are started using Nano-technology (including nanoparticles and nanodevices such as Nano-biosensors and Nano-biochips) in the field of drug discovery and development. Nano-substances could be potential drugs for the future. Safety concerns, determining the nature and extent of adverse events of drugs are determined by the use of Nano-technology.Nanotechnology applications in healthcare and for the development of personalized medicine appear to be excellent. Analyses of signaling pathways by nanobiotechnology techniques provides new insights into disease

Medicinal Chemistry Current Approaches to Drug Discovery for  Cancer and Tropical Diseases   The remarkable changes in technological and scientific developments in the past years have dramatically changed the pharmaceutical innovation process. Well-established strategies, such as high-throughput screening (HTS), have progressively been applied in association with novel techniques founded on genomics and proteomics , molecular and structural biology and molecular modeling. Altogether, these fields have provided outstanding advances for our comprehension of the fundamental cellular and molecular mechanisms of diseases in addition to enabling important progress in the technological arsenal used in drug discovery. Combined with novel methods in organic synthesis, such as combinatorial chemistry, the forefront approaches have built a novel paradigm in the research-based pharmaceutical industry. Evolving paradigm, which has its roots attached to the recent advances in medicinal ch

NATURAL PRODUCTS IN DRUG DISCOVERY PROCESS Natural products have historically been incredible as a source of therapeutic agents in curing many diseases. In last 10 years, research on natural products in the pharmaceutical field has reduced, owing to issues such as the lack of compatibility of traditional natural-product extract libraries with high-throughput screening. Recent techniques in genomics, proteomics and structural biology during the past few decades are giving a clearer picture of the diversity of proteins targeted by natural-product molecules. The current lead generation strategies have led to a renewed interest in natural products in drug discovery . There is need of drug discovery process and new drug designing techniques due to prevalence of many diseases without suitable medical products available. The Research and Development process is one of the pioneer processes to save the therapeu
